MEDIA RELEASE: WiseTech Global (ASX:WTC), the leading developer of logistics execution software and supply chain technology, today announced that Evergreen Line, a global leader in sea, land, air and logistics solutions, has expanded its long-standing electronic Bills of Lading (eBL) partnership with Bolero, a WiseTech Group company, making Evergreen Line eBLs available through Bolero’s Galileo platform. The partnership extends Evergreen's existing eBL capabilities beyond its own customer network to the industry’s largest community of freight forwarders, shippers, consignees, logistics providers and financial institutions connected through WiseTech’s ecosystem of CargoWise, INTTRA and Galileo users.
WiseTech operates Galileo, Bolero’s trusted digital platform that connects logistics and trade participants together to securely exchange, manage, and control the lifecycle of eBLs and related trade finance documents. This ensures that as cargo moves, so does the verified documentation needed to release it and settle trade finance.
Based on the Digital Container Shipping Association’s (DCSA) API v3.0 standards, Evergreen customers benefit from faster document transfer, improved visibility, reduced administrative effort, and enhanced support for trade finance processes.
Evergreen has already helped drive digitalization of the industry by successfully offering Intelligent Bills of Lading (iBLs) powered by Bolero technology for more than seven years, within Evergreen’s customer network. By expanding its eBL capabilities to also publish to Galileo, Evergreen is enabling trusted exchange of trade documents across all participants in the chain. Now, CargoWise and INTTRA customers can also request and access Evergreen eBLs through existing workflows and connected trade networks, accelerating document processing and supporting the continued digitalization of global trade.
Evergreen is committed to simplifying global trade through secure and innovative digital solutions. By expanding access to eBLs through digital platforms and adopting DCSA’s eBL standards, Evergreen enables greater interoperability across the supply chain while delivering a more efficient and seamless experience for customers and partners. As part of the global industry-wide digitalization movement, Evergreen is aiming to reduce reliance on paper documentation while enhancing speed, security, transparency, and operational efficiency across the shipping industry.
Ashley Skaanild, Vice President Carrier Integration and Transformation at WiseTech Global, said: "Evergreen has been a pioneer in the adoption of electronic Bills of Lading, and their volume of eBLs has grown steadily and consistently over the years. We are delighted to extend our partnership and support Evergreen in making its eBL capabilities available across the wider Galileo connected ecosystem.
“This expansion represents another important step towards a future where electronic trade documents move seamlessly between carriers, freight forwarders, cargo owners and banks, reducing friction and improving efficiency throughout international trade."
