SecurSpace, CargoWise Landside’s marketplace for secure truck parking and container storage, is excited to announce it has joined the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA AMERICAS) as a Security Service Provider (SSP) member.

The membership reinforces SecurSpace’s commitment to helping motor carriers, 3PLs, and shippers reduce risk across landside supply chains by making it easier to procure secure, reliable parking and storage. Through the SecurSpace marketplace, transportation providers can search and book vetted yards with critical freight security requirements, including CCTV, lighting, perimeter fencing, and controlled gate access.

As cargo theft continues to place pressure on shippers, carriers, logistics providers, and facility operators, secure freight parking and storage have become essential components of a resilient supply chain. SecurSpace helps connect transportation stakeholders with audited yard locations designed to protect equipment, cargo, and drivers.

“Cargo at rest is cargo at risk, and the industry needs stronger collaboration, better standards, and more secure capacity to meet today’s threat environment,” said Robert Strenk, Senior Director, Marketplace at SecurSpace. “Joining TAPA AMERICAS as an SSP member is an important step in that commitment. We look forward to engaging with members, security leaders, and other service providers to advance practical, measurable security improvements across freight parking and storage."

Raising the standard for secure freight parking and storage

TAPA AMERICAS’ Facility Security Requirements (FSR) provide a recognized framework for strengthening facility security across the supply chain. As part of its ongoing commitment to reducing cargo theft risk, SecurSpace will encourage suppliers in its marketplace to evaluate and pursue FSR certification where appropriate. Further, the marketplace is consistently adding new locations that are thoughtfully curated to align with FSR attributes, delivering the most secure network of parking and storage facilities in the United States.

For shippers, 3PLs, and motor carriers, the ability to source secure parking and storage is becoming more than a convenience. It is a risk management priority. Every unattended trailer, parked container, or staged shipment represents a potential point of exposure if the location does not have the right physical security measures in place.

That is why SecurSpace continues to focus on building a marketplace grounded in trusted capacity, supplier accountability, and practical security standards. By helping customers identify audited yard locations with security measures that align with TAPA AMERICAS’ requirements, SecurSpace supports more secure decisions at one of the most vulnerable points in the freight journey when cargo is at rest.

Supporting industry collaboration

Cargo theft is an industrywide challenge, and reducing it requires collaboration across logistics providers, facility operators, security organizations, and technology partners. By joining TAPA AMERICAS as an SSP member, SecurSpace is further aligning its marketplace and supplier network with organizations committed to improving cargo security across the supply chain.

As the freight industry continues to navigate rising theft risk, secure parking and storage will remain a critical part of protecting goods in motion and at rest. SecurSpace is proud to support that effort by helping customers access secure, reliable yard capacity — and by working with industry partners to raise the standard for freight parking and storage security.
